Oak Brook runs in my blood. My family moved to Oak Brook from Elmhurst in 1970. I attended Brook Forest, Butler and Hinsdale Central schools. I went on to attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (accounting major), and Northwestern University School of Law. I am a credentialed CPA and practiced as a tax lawyer with a major international law firm for several years.
For the last 30 years I have led a 61-year old second-generation family insurance business that has been in Oak Brook since 1970. My business operates out of an office building on Enterprise Drive that I have owned for 26 years.
I have lived in Brook Forest, Midwest Club, Robin Hood Ranch, and currently live with my two daughters in Fullersburg Woods. My parents reside in the Oak Brook Club Condominiums.
I grew up enjoying summers at the Bath and Tennis Club, where I was on the swim team. I played Oak Brook Park District Little League baseball. I was a member of the local Oak Brook Cub Scouts troop.
My family’s roots and commitment to service run deep in Oak Brook. My mother proudly served on the Oak Brook Zoning Board and Midwest Club Homeowner’s Association Board. My father also served on both the Midwest Club Board and his Oak Brook Club Building Board.
I have been a leader and volunteer all my life. I was actively involved in many elected student government roles during my college and law school days. I served as a condominium association board president and as president of the Robin Hood Ranch Homeowner’s Association. I have served on many professional and charitable boards. I’m especially proud to have been a paid-on-call Oak Brook Firefighter.
More recently, serving as a Village Trustee has been one of the most satisfying challenges I have ever undertaken.
I’m proud to be raising my own daughters in our community, one who is in 8th grade at the District 181 Clarendon Hills Middle School, and the other who is sophmore at Hinsdale Central High School.
I truly appreciate all Oak Brook has to offer, and especially enjoy riding my bike through the miles of Oak Brook trails.
